• A detailing van and equipment (we provide consumables)
• Clean background check
• Valid driver’s license
• Current auto & business insurance

Driving distance: Be comfortable driving up to 20 miles one way for a job. We’ll optimize your route to ensure minimal travel time and maximum efficiency.

The timeline varies based on availability and demand, but we aim to get new detailers up and running within two weeks. Our onboarding process is designed to be efficient, ensuring you can start taking jobs as soon as possible

Yes, absolutely. DetailDash is designed to support professional detailers, not restrict them. You’re welcome to continue servicing your own existing clients outside of the platform. In fact, many of our pros choose to run their own customers through DetailDash to benefit from our backend tools — like easy & safe payments, branded confirmations, customer support, and even get introduced to our insurance specialists. It’s a great way to offer a more professional experience to your clients while staying organized. That said, here are a few important ground rules:

• Any customers acquired through DetailDash must be serviced through the platform.
• Direct solicitation of DetailDash customers is strictly prohibited.
• To maintain reliability, you must honor any availability you set — jobs assigned during your stated hours are expected to be completed unless there’s an emergency.
• Time slots cannot be removed or canceled within 48 hours of the appointment window.

Paid on a weekly basis via ACH direct deposit or similar electronic transfer. If necessary, checks may be issued.

Assignments made based on availability, assigned service area, and estimated service duration.

Totally understandable—starting something new can feel overwhelming. First, know that you’re not alone. Our onboarding includes clear step-by-step guides and videos to walk you through every part of the process. On the day of your first detail, our team will go out with you in the field. After that, you can contact our support team through instant message or email if you have any questions or run into issues. We’re here to back you up so you can focus on doing great work and building your confidence.

We serve two markets:

• North of New York: for those based for instance in Harlem or in the Bronx --> direct access to Westchester County, Yonkers, Greenwich/Stamford/Darien in CT
• East New York: for those based in Queens or in Brooklyn --> direct access to Suffolk and Nassau counties in Long Island

We expect our detailers to deliver exceptional customer service and perform professional-grade exterior washes and interior cleaning. Bonus skills, such as paint correction, ceramic coating application, paint protection film installation, and window tinting are highly valued and can open up additional opportunities.
